Selling online in Canada means getting taxes, payments and shipping right as well as the store itself. I build online stores that customers trust and that you can run without a developer on call.

For many Canadian stores, Shopify is the right answer. It’s quick to launch and it handles the basics well. A custom store makes sense when you sell in a way a template can’t handle: quotes, trade pricing, made-to-order products, unusual delivery rules or links to your own systems.
I’ll tell you honestly which one fits. If it’s Shopify, I’ll build it on Shopify.
LastPrice is a store I designed and built from scratch. It launched in August 2026, and by November it had taken about 20 orders. Around 90 products have their own pages, every card shows the delivery cost, and a private admin handles orders, payments, reviews and reports.
Working on a real store changes your priorities. You learn that a surprise at checkout loses a sale, and that the admin side matters as much as the shop window, because that’s where the owner spends the day.
My Shopify stores start from CA$5,000. For comparison, Impeka in Ottawa lists $10,000 to $60,000 or more as a typical e-commerce range, and Netclues puts a basic build at $5,000 to $20,000 CAD. Both sell websites, so treat these as market signals. A store on Shopify usually costs less to start with, and adds monthly fees.
You’ll get a fixed quote from me before any work starts.

For many stores, Shopify is the right choice, and I'll say so if yours is one of them. A custom store makes sense when you sell in a way a template can't handle. Read the full comparison.
